Kids courses

At Rye Watersports we have been teaching children and school groups since 1986. We provide Royal Yachting Association courses from age 8 upwards and our ‘Kids Activity Days’ for 7 to 12 yr olds. Paddleboard and kayak hire is also available.

Windsurfing and sailing courses are run on our safe inland lake on the South East coast, just on the Kent and Sussex border, and only minutes away from Camber Sands. From South London and Surrey it’s just over an hour to get to Rye Watersports for your kids windsurfing and sailing lessons and 50 minutes from Tunbridge Wells.

We have a thriving  South East region T.15 On Board windsurfing club and we are the foremost centre for children’s windsurfing and sailing lessons in Surrey, Kent and Sussex.  During the school holidays we run windsurfing and sailing clubs for children who have attained their RYA stage 2 certificates.

Our ‘kids camps’ offer the most enjoyable and safest ways of getting young ones into watersports. These fun sessions are aimed at children aged 7 – 12 years. They are run over the school summer holidays and geared towards giving youngsters water confidence whilst introducing them to windsurfing and kayaking with an emphasis on FUN!!

Have a party at the lake to celebrate your child’s birthday. We have been running children’s parties for several years now and they are enormously popular. The children can participate in all our lake based watersports activities.
