Chief Instructor for Windsurfing
Rye Watersports is an RYA Training Centre based on a large coastal lake offering RYA tuition in Sailing
& Windsurfing from March till November. Located 2 miles from Camber Sands, one of the top
Windsurfing & Kitesurfing locations in the South of England. We are looking for an RYA Senior
Instructor to take on the Chief Instructor for Windsurfing role. The position demands someone with
at least 1 season’s experience working as an active SI with strong leadership skills.
The role requires a flexible approach, working 5 days a week over weekends & bank holidays. The
successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Duties Include:
- Acting as the RYA Chief Instructor for Windsurfing
- Overseeing daily operations of the centre where required / Deputising for the Centre
Manager in his absence:
- Taking ownership for the upkeep & maintenance of all Windsurfing equipment
- Taking a leading role in staff development, CPD & Powerboat Training
- Delivery of RYA Courses withing the National & Youth Schemes
Essential Qualifications:
- RYA Senior Windsurf Instructor
- RYA Intermediate Non-Planing Instructor
- Valid First Aid Qualification
Desirable Qualifications:
- RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor
- RYA Intermediate Planing Instructor
- BSUPA Level 1 Instructor
- BSUPA Level 2 Instructor
- BKSA Senior Kitesurfing Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Instructor
