Description:
The internationally recognised RYA Dinghy Instructor (DI) qualification will allow you to teach anywhere in the world. The course is designed for competent sailors who want to learn to teach in a safe and fun manor, following the RYA structure.
For a career or part time job in the water sport industry and to share your passion and your knowledge of sailing become a RYA Dinghy Instructor.

Syllabus:
- You will learn different teaching techniques afloat and ashore.
- These will be run by an RYA Trainer and moderated on the final day by an independent RYA Trainer.
- Candidates on the course will be demonstrate competence in course preparation, delivery and management, as well as customer liaison.
Pre Requisites:
- Be aged 16 years or older
- Hold a RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) certificate (please check our Powerboat Level 2 page if you need training)
- A valid 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
- RYA Safe and Fun certificate. This is is an online certificate run directly by the RYA which must be completed before any RYA instructor qualifications are awarded. More information can be found on the RYA website
- All participants must of passed the RYA Dinghy Instructor Pre-Assessment
- Active RYA membership
